Privacy
RollingCoin is a program that runs on your computer. Your financial data stays there.
Version 1, effective from 2 November 2026
RollingCoin X6 keeps your finances on your own computer. We, RollingCoin s.r.o., a limited liability company under Czech law, company number (IČO) 04761626, with its seat at Šaracova 1176/2, 624 00 Brno, Czech Republic, do not collect, receive or store any of your data: there is no account to sign in to, no advertising, and nothing about you or the way you use the program is sent to us. This policy covers the RollingCoin program, the phones and watched values programs that come with it, and the RollingCoin Wallet application on your phone.
What stays on your computer
Your agendas and their backups are files in the folders you choose (Documents\RollingCoin\Agendas unless you pick another), always encrypted. With a password set, nobody who does not know it can read them - not even us, and we cannot recover a password you lose; an agenda left without a password opens to anybody who has the file. Settings, the program's log (what the program did, with the names of the files it opened), its crash dumps (what was in the program's memory when it failed, which may include data of the agenda open at the time) and the recognition report, if you switch it on, are kept in your user profile. None of them leaves the computer by the program's hand.
When the program uses the network
Only for what you ask it to do. Every request over the internet carries what any web request does, such as the address of your computer on the internet; the service it goes to sees that and handles it under its own privacy policy.
- Watched values. The watched values program asks the European Central Bank for exchange rates and Yahoo Finance for the prices of the securities you watch. The request names the currency or the security and nothing else about you.
- Icons from websites. When you choose "From website" for an icon, the program downloads the icon of the website you entered.
- Maps. When you press Map on a transaction that carries a place, your web browser opens OpenStreetMap at that place; OpenStreetMap then sees the position.
- Phones. The phones program lets the RollingCoin Wallet application on your family's phones hand payments to this computer. It talks only over your own network, to phones you paired with it, and each phone proves itself with a secret of its own. No server of ours is involved.
The Wallet application on your phone
The Wallet keeps the payments you enter, the photos of receipts you take and the notes you write on the phone, and hands them to RollingCoin on your computer over your own network when both are on it. It is installed from your computer or from Google Play, and sends nothing to us. It uses:
- The camera, to photograph receipts and read them. The reading (Google's ML Kit text recognition) runs on the phone; ML Kit may send Google statistics about how its recognition performs, never the pictures or the text it reads. The document scanner is a part of Google Play services, and Google may download its model to the phone; Google Play services work under Google's privacy policy.
- Your location, to remember the note and settings you used at a place and offer them again when you are within some 60 metres of it. Places are kept on the phone; the position of a payment goes with the payment to your computer, where it stays with your agenda.
- Installing packages, only where it was installed from your computer: to update itself from there when RollingCoin has a newer version. Installed from Google Play, it is updated by Google Play.
Problem reports
When you make a problem report, the program writes a zip file with what you ticked in the dialog - and only that - into a folder you choose. The log and the crash dumps in it may contain names, amounts and file names from your agenda; look inside before you send it if that matters to you. Sending it to us is your decision and your action, by e-mail to info@rollingcoin.com. We handle what you send on the ground of our legitimate interest in finding and fixing the problem (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR), use it for nothing else apart from what the next section says of a recognition report, show it to nobody apart from the provider of our e-mail, and delete it once the problem is fixed, at the latest six months after we received it.
A language issue you report from the settings or the Help menu is an e-mail your own e-mail program opens, addressed to info@rollingcoin.com and holding what you wrote, the program's language and its version. It goes only when you send it, and we handle it as a problem report.
The recognition report
The program keeps a recognition report only while you have it switched on in the settings. It records which branches of the pattern catalogue matched your statements and how often, the patterns you wrote on accounts, categories and subjects that point into the catalogue, and the languages of your agendas - never a statement line, an amount or the name of an item. A pattern you wrote for a person rather than a firm, such as their name or account number, does point to that person; look inside before you send the file if that matters to you. It reaches us only if you send it, on its own or in a problem report. We use it to teach the catalogue that comes with the program what it does not recognize yet, on the ground of our legitimate interest in a catalogue that recognizes more (Article 6(1)(f) of the GDPR): a pattern may go into the catalogue, never anything that says whose it was. The file itself we delete as we delete a problem report.
Your rights
Where we do hold personal data of yours - a problem report, a recognition report or an e-mail from you - you have the rights the GDPR gives you: to ask what we hold, to have it corrected or deleted, to object to our handling it, and to complain to the Office for Personal Data Protection (Úřad pro ochranu osobních údajů, uoou.gov.cz). Write to info@rollingcoin.com.
The Microsoft Store
When you get the program from the Microsoft Store, Microsoft handles its installation and updates under its own privacy statement. Microsoft gives us counts of installs and crashes, with nothing that identifies you.
Changes and contact
If this policy changes, the new version comes with the program and is published at rollingcoin.com. Questions: info@rollingcoin.com.
