Licence

Version 1, effective from 2 November 2026

RollingCoin is made by RollingCoin s.r.o., a limited liability company under Czech law, company number (IČO) 04761626, with its seat at Šaracova 1176/2, 624 00 Brno, Czech Republic, entered in the Commercial Register kept by the Regional Court in Brno under file C 91767 ("we"). This licence is the agreement between you and us about using RollingCoin X6: the RollingCoin program, the phones and watched values programs that come with it, the RollingCoin Wallet application that the phones program hands to your phones, and the files shipped with them ("the program"). It covers every update of the program until a new version of the licence replaces it, and it does not end by itself.

What you may do

1. Use the program free of charge without limit, on an unlimited number of workstations, for yourself, your family and your own business.
2. Copy the program to your own computers, and let the phones program install the Wallet application on the phones of your household, which is what it is for.
3. Keep a backup copy of the program.
4. Keep copies of the agendas, backups, exports and any other files the program writes for you. They are yours, and so is everything in them.

What you may not do

1. Sell the program, rent it out or distribute it beyond point 2 above. The Microsoft Store is where it comes from, so everybody gets an unaltered copy with its updates.
2. Change the program, or take it apart to learn its source code. This does not affect your statutory rights, which you may exercise without our consent. They include the right to observe and study how the program works while you use it, and to decompile parts of it to the extent necessary to make it work with other software (Articles 5 and 6 of Directive 2009/24/EC and the national laws implementing it).
3. Remove or alter the notices of copyright and of the licences of others.

Who owns the program

The program, its name and its icon are our work and our property, protected by copyright and by the law protecting its name. This licence lets you use the program; it gives you no part of it.

The pattern catalogue

The catalogue of patterns that comes with the program - the tree of shops, firms, institutions and kinds of payment, with the patterns by which the program recognizes them in the lines of a statement - is a database whose making took a substantial investment of ours. It is protected by the special right of the maker of a database (Directive 96/9/EC; in Czech law § 88 and following of the Copyright Act, No. 121/2000 Coll.), besides the copyright in the program.

1. You may use the catalogue the way the program uses it: to recognize your own payments, and to look up a shop or a group in the program, one question at a time.
2. You may not extract or re-utilize the whole of the catalogue or a substantial part of it, nor extract or re-utilize insubstantial parts of it repeatedly and systematically.
3. You may not circumvent the form in which the catalogue is shipped with the program in order to read the catalogue out of it.

The licence to use the program does not extend to the catalogue as a data set.

Your data

The program keeps your data on your computer, in the files you choose, and does not send it anywhere. What the program does reach over the network, and why, is in the privacy policy.

Other people's work in the program

The program contains software written by others and used under their own licences. Those licences are listed in the file ThirdPartyNotices.txt that comes with the program, and they apply to those parts rather than this one.

No warranty

The program is given as it is, free of charge, without any warranty: we do not promise that it is free of errors, that it suits your purpose or that it will keep working with future versions of Windows. It is a tool for keeping your records, not financial, tax or legal advice; check anything you rely on against the statements of your bank and the rules that apply to you. Keep backups - the program makes them, and keeping them somewhere safe is up to you.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows it, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from the use of the program or from being unable to use it, including lost data, lost profit and damage caused by an error in a calculation or in a recognized payment. This does not exclude our liability for damage we cause intentionally or by gross negligence, nor for harm to a person's life, health or other natural rights, which the law lets nobody exclude. Where the law does not allow liability to be excluded, it is limited to the least the law permits. Nothing in this licence limits the rights a consumer has by law.

Changes and ending

When this licence changes in substance, the program asks you to accept the new version before you use it again. The licence ends if you decline the new version or if you break the licence; you then have to stop using the program and delete it. You may still run it once more to export your data, and your own files stay yours either way.

Consumer disputes

If you are a consumer and we cannot settle a dispute between us, you may take it to the Czech Trade Inspection Authority (Česká obchodní inspekce, adr.coi.cz) for out-of-court settlement.

Law

This licence is governed by the law of the Czech Republic, without prejudice to the protection the law of your own country gives you as a consumer. It is published at rollingcoin.com, and the program shows it under Help > Licence and Privacy.
